First off, I sleep best when I'm totally exhausted. I take NO other than the pain patch I'm on for the migraine pain that is continuous.

I also have a small down throw that I snuggle under all year no matter what temperature it is outside.

Love to have my dogs in bed with me so I know they aren't getting into trouble while I sleep & I like having the ceiling fan on. It stays on 24/7. I also keep the radio on a talk station 24/7. It was so quiet when I started living alone I needed sound though I like the peace & quiet also.

Sleep for me is a challenge as I'm awake every few hours unless I am so exhausted that I don't wake up at all for almost 8-10 hours....sleep seems to be an all or nothing thing with me though. Think it started after going through a trauma & I couldn't sleep for the nightmares & my pdoc at the time gave me 600mg of seroquel to knock me out which worked well considering at the time I only weighed 93 pounds. Living alone I can't stand to take any meds that make me groggy because I know if there were an emergency I would end up sleeping through it & being alone, that's NOT a good thing. If I have had struggles during the day, I am often plagued by nightmares of fighting against someone (usually H or parents) & struggling to get away though that never happened physically in real life it was an emotional battle I had for most of my life. Things are getting much better with that though. Sleep is definitely a challenge but needed because it does make a difference in my blood pressure readings...no sleep (high) sleep (much lower)
