I also would like for this thread to be able to stay open. If it is used to discuss a locked thread, or administrative actions and issues, that won't work.

As far as pushing beliefs or non-beliefs, I think that one thing goes both ways. People tend to be passionate about their beliefs (either way), and to want to share them. That passion can be taken as forcing beliefs on people who believe differently. We need to be very careful here about stating our own beliefs without making statements about what someone else doesn't believe, or that someone else's beliefs are wrong in some way.
