glad you are getting the test
hopefully it will explain whats really going on - the psychologist i talked to seemed really confident in the results for me... feel much better accepting his diagnosis than the last few 15 min evaluations i had with pdoc (especially that bipolar dx)

when i was in school i was in advanced classes... was usually a straight a student but would get the random D or C because of ... well who knows - guess i just wasnt paying attention or something...

but because of the other things i have going on i ended up screwing up - grades went from As to Ds and i dropped out because i was overwhelmed... tried homeschooling for some years but lost motivation on that too

kind of wished that i could of gotten help as a kid so that maybe i wouldn't of made so many... mistakes i guess...

guess the main thing to keep in mind is that it can be difficult to diagnos ADHD...
i was reading about it the other day, i think they called it an "diagnosis of exclusion" meaning that they go through the list and try to see if it is anything else before diagnosing adhd - and if they cant pin it on something else directly then you get the diagnosis?

Quote:
A diagnosis of exclusion (per exclusionem) is a diagnosis of a medical condition reached by a process of elimination, which may be necessary if presence cannot be established with complete confidence from history, examination or testing.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diagnosis_of_exclusion

so hopefully this complete evaluation will narrow it down and pinpoint exactly whats going on...

he diagnosed me with somatization disorder and i had never even heard of that before :/ so maybe even if its not adhd - maybe can help you find some relief
