My oxygen saturation when I sleep is only 83 %. My ear nose throat doctor said I have 83% and he didnt say I need a C PAP. He said I dont have sleep apnea as I had only 5 breathing disturbances in an hour. I think he meant in an hour. I didnt get more than 2-3 hours sleep the night the test was done and you are suppose to have at least 4 hours

He said I have a large tongue root, so this may block my airways when sleeping. I know I sometimes bite myself in the tongue and I also wake up from gasping after air, sometimes my heart races.

Still the doctor told me I dont have sleep apnea, even my airways may be blocked from my tongue. He said something else is contrebuting to the problem, like my tongue. He wanted me check my heart. I will do that. I have problems breathing through my nose when walking at a normal pace. I can breath better when I have my mouth open, but it looks a bit silly to go with open mouth. If I close my mouth when walking I cant breath.

It scared me so I have started exercise daily in hope it will increase my oxygen saturation at night. Will exercise help?
