Are you employed at the present?

Nothing will ever compare to your college days. I'm age 65, and I've evolved in the work force as well as marriage and parenting. ( a lot of drama in that too!). Leaving the heady days of college, then going out on your own, even living with parents (as I had to do for a time), is very depressing. Probably the lowest time of my life. It's a real eye-opener, having to face the real world.

Let me ask, do you have any plans for an advanced degree, and the financial means to do so? My dad forbade me from pursuing this, saying, "I put you thru college, now you have to work." Later in life, I did and have pursued it, and it was very rewarding. If you can go on to study further, you will find graduate study very fulfilling and challenging, even if you have to live at home.
Yes I agree, I actually feel very depressed. I did have a job as a substitute paraprofessional but they no longer needed me so I am looking to go somewhere else. I also hope to go to grad school and live there while pursuing studies. Really it is not facing the real world that depresses me, technically I think you face the real world in college too in a way, it is moving back home that depresses me. Once I move out, I will be fine. I totally agree with what you said though.
