Is it possible to have a subforum for other dissociative disorders and other dissociative issues than DID? I wish we did for two reasons. Those with DID I feel shouldn't be bothered with people like me having less serious issues. But also I would feel safer in a forum made for non DID dissociation because, I will be honest, there is some hostility in the dissociation forum already among the people with DID so how would it work to try to come in with a different issue?

There are several dissociative problems such as depersonalization disorder, depersonalization attacks, derealization attacks, dissociative amnesia without other symptoms (one time or often), self soothing into self hypnosis, chronic numbness from dissociation and many more. Some of them have their own entries in the DSM. Also there are DID like issues that do not meet the DID criteria.

DID is sort of hogging the dissociation forum and by any means, I think it "should", but I also think there should be a place for other types of dissociation issues.

Totally crappy idea??
