I just tell them - we just dont have a way of measuring it yet; you cant say its not true. The world used to be flat, ya know! That way, my t understands im not TOTALLY "out there" - im just "open" to new scientific inquiry!

Eta - plus i read about an experiment some time ago - they took two submarines, put the mama bunny in one and her baby bunnies in the other. Then they were mean to the baby bunnies, and the mama bunny could sense it. So what was that if not ESP? Then my t and i had another discussion on what the mama bunny's reaction actually was - i thought she might be mean too, but thats a whole other thing...
