ive never been on effexor. it was cymbalta that was giving my high blood pressure.

Ah ok, I think I was getting mixed up with 0dy because he was on it... I knew it was something...
I understand you felt it was starting to do something, but if the doctor/nurse or whoever decided it wasn't worth the risk, then I don't think they'd want you to go back on it.
There are a wealth of other SSRIs/SNRIs though.
I think it's definitely something you should bring up...
If your insurance would cover any other more intensive types of therapies... then that'd be ideal beside meds. I only did about 4-5 sessions of talk therapy with my CPN, but it was enough. She just helped me understand my anxiety & gave me worksheets etc. Was able to develop coping mechanisms from that. CBT is obviously the best, but I believe you need a lot of regular sessions for that...
