I think so too

Sometimes there was a warmth about my dad, and I think that he has a good heart. He isn't unforgiving or calculating or cold like some other people, he just does the wrong things, but he is completely honest about it. As a kid I saw how deeply wounded he was and felt his sadness. That made me sad too.
It's also sad because I couldn't reach him anymore and I still miss him. He became very cruel towards everyone including me. I never understood that and it made me angry. Still does. It hurts to see how he has changed and I can't find him anymore.
