Awesome!
I used to be a huge, fast reader. I devoured books. I read classics to trashy paperbacks. I would check out giant stacks from the public library. Over the years, it has gotten harder and harder to read. To the point where I hadn't finished a book in over 4 years. Around Xmas after I had inpatient and bipolar diagnosis and on lithium for a couple weeks,I got determined to read again. I ran across the hardcover from 1930 Tom Swift and the Big Dirigible in an antiques store. I bought it determined to read it. I finished the last page in January visiting my sister. i always want to remember that profound sense of accomplishment. Since then, I have completed an additional book. I didn't realize how much I missed reading. I am still slow and have trouble concentrating. I would like to read some more classics such as Oscar Wilde, Virginia Wolfe, and Somerset Maugham topping the list. For now, I am sticking to easier reads. Current book is about B-Movies.
