If you think its a way to make contact or get attention it will soon get old and boring to you. There are other better ways. Human contact, socializing, whatever you want to think of it... its important but quality is better than quantity. Helping someone in need... small acts of kindness. They're strong than any demon, internal or whatever. And I agree with Thunder Bow that these are manifestations of the unconscious more than anything.
