In the future, maybe go really big, like somewhere you can invite everyone, or very small, like a day trip where she gets to invite one or two of her closest friends. The thing to realize is that this is something painful all parents can relate to. Don't let it spoil the fun of your child's special age. I loved this age when my child was small.
