Ygar, I've been in that situation. Had a topic I wanted to discuss, but hadn't read something about it. Usually what happens is that I see or hear something then go off on a mental tangent. I google the topic in order to find an article I can link to. It can be a pain, but stays within the guidelines. The way I came to think of it is that it's the "current events" forum not the "this is my opinion" forum.
