From my point of view, your pdoc is just a small piece of the puzzle, the said 90 day probation sounds like just an arbitrarily set number, and please keep in mind that the two psychiatrists that you'll be evaluated by may not be on your side, people you trust know you better, I hope you talk with them about what you're gonna say, missteps can happen, if two court appointed(?) shrinks find you not stable or whatever, (do they have access to your medical record??) you might find yourself in a worse position, so do be careful.

(Depakote side effects may include 'suicidal ideation'. I'm not sure if it's true, maybe someone else can confirm that.)
