I have to tell you that it has taken me many years to realize that I am truly an outstanding individual.

After being diagnosed with ADHD in university, 14 years ago, I know now for certain that I am truly amazing. It just took me longer to realize it.

I also believe that there are many with ADHD who suffer from anxiety because it takes so much energy to calm the "impulsiveness beast" down to
appear "normal." To control a lot of the impulsive actions that goes along with the thought processes that are currently firing all at the same time,
my thoughts and speech appear cluttered.

Many of those who are "normal" do not understand that I (we) are capable of multi tasking 12 things at once, perhaps at a not so great quality, but it
allows us the extreme awareness of what is around us.

Our unique qualities need to be praised. And yes, impulsiveness can easily lead any person down a nasty rabbit hole if the "filter" isn't on...aka..thinking before we speak.

And if not properly trained to calm down, our impulsive actions can become overwhelming to many people.

What are your thoughts? What hurdles have you jumped over to give you the confidence that you have now?

What hurdles are you currently working on?
