I think being deployed is much different from being at boarding school, but when I came "home" for a short time after that before I found a new place, my mom had kept my room just as it was for me to stay in. I found it extremely creepy and it made me even question if the whole moving out living at school experience actually took place. It felt like living in the past. It gave me extreme anxiety.
