I listen to NPR. On it, my favorite shows are " A Prairie Home Companion" with the comedian and host Garrison Keillor, and "Car Talk" with cohosts (and brothers) Click and Clack.
"A Prairie Home Companion" is essentially a mix of original music, spoofs of old time radios shows, and a segment called "News from Lake Wobegon, MN (pronounced woe-be-gone)". Of course, since Lake Wobegon is a fictional town, the news is fictional as well. I find this segment to be particularly humorous as I lived in a small town in Minnesota not unlike what Lake Wobegon was made out to resemble. Apparently, the host, Keillor, based the fictional town on his own real life hometown in Minnesota, so yeah, it's very well done.
"Car Talk" is, or was I should say, a show hosted by a pair of brothers, Click and Clack, who took calls from all over the country regarding car problems. They would use light hearted humor and witty banter as they attempted to find solutions to the problems. However, since the show's hosts retired, they just air the old prerecorded shows and simply call the resulting broadcast, "The Best of Car Talk". It's always good to listen to for a good laugh or three.
