I haven't seen it personally, but when I was going through one of the horse museums at the Horse Park in Kentucky, one of the volunteers that is a retired school teacher from there was talking about how strong the KKK is in one of the counties close to there. It is scarry to realize this is in my new backyard.
Being a native Californian, things like that just aren't the norm there....yes, there is racism between all the different nationalities & gangs but it's not as blatently obvious as in the small towns that are still so backwards.
It is sad to think that those kids are probably thinking that way because their parents are still thinking that way. I can't imagine people my age (54) who have learned to be so open to all kinds of other things like sex & drugs are still in the dark ages with their thinking about racism. When will is ever end?
