Hello Hunter. If your friend calls the Obstetrician/Gynecologist that delivered the baby the Gynecologist can refer your friends wife to County Mental Health and get her in there faster than just scheduling the Appt herself or himself. Going to Jobs and Family Services in the county can help with food stamps and possibly medical for the baby and mother of the baby. The WIC program can help with formula for the baby as well for free. Salvation Army can help with utility bills food, and rent if needed at this time for your friends. Take care. Soidhonia
