I drove drunk countless times. Never got caught, never hurt or killed anyone, never even had a fender-bender. I quit drinking on New Year's Day 1992 so of course have never driven drunk since. Now I abhor drunk drivers and think they should go to jail for the first offense and jail plus revocation of their driver's license for the second offense. There's no excuse for it. I still have remorse for the times I did it myself, even though it ended almost 25 years ago.
