I participated in teaching situations with medical students many times. For whatever reason it kept happening to me especially with my previous gyn. I had students present during minor surgery, during gyn test, consultations, ultrasound etc etc I didn't mind as I believe I contributed to their studies so it's a good thing.

I saw that you meant psychiatric. I've never been to a psychiatrist
