Get a referral from your family doctor to see an adult ADHD doctor. It will be well worth it, even just to rule it out.

I take Concerta, and it has changed everything. In not saying it will for you, but it did for me.

It would be nice to at least rule it out as a possibility. Trying all these different antidepressants for 5 YEARS snd having no results is so frustrating. I feel like I've hit a wall. Do psychiatrists get offended if you ask to be tested for ADD specifically? I feel like it might be better to just list the problems I do have and let them draw their own conclusions. I've very scared to be seen as pill seeking and not be taken seriously.

Also thank you for the list of doctors in Illinois but I just moved to Missouri from Illinois and haven't changed my info on here yet, whoops! I recently made an appointment with a psychiatrist here and depression anxiety ADHD seem to be the main things she treats so I'm hoping she can help me out. Talking to a new doctor always stresses me out I hope it goes well.
