Yeah, that's been my experience, primarily. When I was hospitalized I was given Nardil and I felt genuinely good. Not manic, just like my old self. Dancing down the hall with the nurses. But my blood pressure stayed in the stroke zone, so I had to give it up.

The generic Effexor that I'm on now produced an almost overnight sense of wellbeing. That lasted about a month and my idiotic Psychopharmacologist wouldn't admit that she was wrong about the maximum dosage even when I showed her the FDA monograph.

The Mayo Clinic has some information. It's not as if it's going to hurt or cost me anything. I just want to know if it works.
