I hate to admit it, but I, too, struggle w/ intense anger. I find that meds seem to put a cap on it (namely the SSRI's), which is good. However, at times, I really do want to throw things, scream & shout.
I'm no expert, but what helps me w/ my anger is long-distance running. Yoga, too. I sublime my anger into physical activity. Sometimes I also write letters to the ppl w/ whom I'm angry, but I rip them up & don't send them.
