When I did online dating in my 30s I received once over a 100 messages a day ( the first few days and weeks ), no not kidding, it got less over time but still it was enormous number, at least 20 new once a day. I couldn't possibly read them all, I was always a busy person, it was mortifying. I then got too busy and had to put dating aside. When I did online dating later in life most certainly I was not receiving that many at all. Dating pool significantly shrinks as we age
. I have to say that when I was receiving that many messages most men didn't read my profile. They went by my looks. My profile popped up and they were oh wow let me message her. They often asked questions that clearly indicated they never read my profile at all or didn't pay attention. That's why I am wary when men just focus on looks right away. Like that's all what matters
