Hmmm. Not sure what constitutes BP friendly. On one hand, some might say that the peace and quiet uneventfulness is friendly, being less stressful. On the other, like you say, the sidewalks rolling up at 9 pm is boring -- a quality we don't tend to be fans of.

Maybe defining it is a matter of whether we find a place conducive to "behaving" or to indulging our leanings (our natural habitat? Lol).

I've lived both kinds of places, and prefer city. BP-wise, probably on account of a few different things. #1, relative anonymity (yes, please!). I heard someone say something funny about a small town "you know it's a small town when everybody knows your business before you've even gotten back to your house". Haha. Also prefer city on account of services available.

So I would say yes, BP friendly, insofar as it goes. Like Tigger, it's not like I stand up and ask(!) But it works for me.

P.s. One thing you seem to allude to is the aggressiveness of the local population. That's something I kind of have to watch. To be somewhere really mean would bring out the worst in me, and I'd be constantly launching, which wouldn't be good for anyone.
Thanks for this!
