Please, please, please do not hope for, or try to develop, EDNOS again. This will cause severe physical health issues which may last a lifetime, as well as the mental scarring.
What is far better and safer - and the ONLY sustainable weight loss programme - is to have a talk and check-up with your GP, then overhaul your daily food intake, possibly with the advice of a Nutritionist recommended by your GP, but definitely with the support of your Mum. At the same time, take advice on the best form of exercise for you.
I have had massively fluctuating weight for a few years due to severe illness, Depression, meds and now strict calorie counting. I have lost 45lbs, am stable at the moment as I have liver disease, but intend to lose more when I get the all-clear. The first thing I did was buy spiralbound notebooks and started writing down everything I eat and drink, the amount and calorie content. Kcals are listed on all packaging now, or websites like fatsecret.com list the calories in all popular foods and Brands. It is very easy to start the list, but then you need to set a target calorie allowance with your GP/Nutritionist, cut out the junk and apportion a calorie allowance to every meal, plus snacks. Then, with willpower and a set of scales to learn to practice proper portion control, your list will allow you to see daily what you are getting your calories from. I have found that now my portions are much smaller, I make the effort to have greater variety throughout the week for evening meals - lunch is always rice cakes or crispbread with cheese/ham/tomato/cucumber.
At 14 your body shape could change dramatically over a year or two, but there is nothing wrong with wanting to be as healthy as possible for the right reasons. Those reasons include wanting to reduce the risk of developing chronic issues like heart disease, diabetes or colon cancer. The aim is to do it in a healthy way, you see now that having a previous eating disorder has still left you in this position.
Good luck, I'm with you all the way.
Dave.
