i don't see a professional anymore, so i can't ask them this. but is this normal? idk how persistent PTSD is. does it last forever? does it come and go?

those three years were horrible and i never thought i'd get out of it, but now i can do some things that i couldn't do back then. it's a good thing but does that mean i never had PTSD? or is that how PTSD works?

i always thought it was a life-long thing, and i've been having a few good months, so it's all so bizarre to me.

so basically, do ptsd symptoms come in episodes like other mental health issues? or??

i hope this makes sense my head's a bit foggy atm

I've had PTSD for a decade, it's disabling. It depends on what's going on in your life. I have a teen so parenting her necessarily comes before my own rehabilitation . I imagine if you don't have any children it is easier to rehabilitate . I hope that helps.
