In the US, if someone verbalizes words that suggest " harm to self or others", it's considered serious mental illness and should be treated by trained professionals.

Can't vouch for the quality of those professionals, but it is something that should be discussed.

If you kill yourselves, family will be devastated whether you think they will or not.

If you kill someone else, off to jail you go.

This post is not in reference to anyone. It's just I saw 3 suicidal teens in my 9 hour shift tonight. Broke my heart. None had any support at all.

Just a vent, I guess.
