Yeah, I certainly think it's possible. Google has its own robot called "Atlas". It can open doors, as well as walk around without tripping, falling, or running into things. It can even lift boxes and put them on a shelf. If it falls (like if someone pushes it), it knows how to pick itself up. It does it all on its own, too. It's basically programmed to "think".
