I can't take most migraine meds and my neurologist had me start taking magnesium. I went from 20plug migraine days per month to maybe 1 every 2-3 months. 400-500 mg, from the vitamin aisle. They also recommended CoQ10 which made me hypomanic and melatonin. There are herbs too but I can't do herbals so I don't what they are. It's worth a try though; no side effects and really effective for a lot of people. I was going to need botox injections if that failed and it never even has come up again.
