I agree with RxQueen. I think you need a new pdoc.

If your pdoc is adding/removing medication without giving you the chance to discuss it, that's a problem. He should at least have an intelligent conversation with you before making any changes to your medication. He should not be so domineering and unresponsive.

My pdoc and I always discuss medication changes. We talk about the pros & cons of different medications. If I feel that a medication has too many cons (i.e., too many side effects), then he gives me the right to refuse it.

If your pdoc genuinely does not believe in "withdrawal", then he's obviously not a good pdoc.
