I have this same dilemma. Yesterday I googled "housekeeping schedule" images, looked through examples until I found a basic list that suited me, I whited out some items, then added a couple other tasks. It's posted on my refrigerator now. I was overwhelmed because I'm hyper-aware of all the cleaning and organizing I want to do. So, yesterday I did the morning tasks, the Saturday task, and the evening tasks. House is still in need of deep spring cleaning, but the structure of a list, and being able to stop to do something else is so reasonable, that I like it. So, I'm following my list today, and don't feel so overwealmed. Now, my challenges are to just keep the practice up until it is a habit, and to be satisfied with "good enough."
