Hello. This is in Canada by the way. But anyways, like 15 years ago, schools did not much to help people with disabilities get accommodations they need or placement. They would place people with LDs in a segregated classroom with people with more severe disabilities like severe autism and Down's syndrome. But according to what I put together in my head, they probably did this because the government would give more money to the school region with more kids who were deemed to have severe disabilities (the money part is a fact). So I put together that the reason why they were so bad was because the school region wanted more money. And that seems stupid to me. But I understand how our world revolves around money and how people's views on issues change so this wasn't deemed an issue until a few years ago. The system is better now for sure. Well, at least where I am. It kinda surprises me how things change.
