I could point you to threads where it is on display but that is probably against guidelines, and I don't want to call anyone out that way. It is sometimes mixed in with elements of genuine support, but on the whole is actually more like coercion or intimidation. Maybe it is not intended or even conscious, dunno.
My experience is that the therapy system, in all of its manifestations, exerts tremendous pressure to conform and comply. It's ok to claim therapy abuse or harm, just don't insinuate serious systemic problems and don't challenge the "one bad apple" construct. Therapy harm is met with outrage, as long as it is framed as an isolated incident and as long as the victim is not
too insistent. Cross that line, and support is withdrawn and replaced by hostility.
