Hello Blue_Bird: Yes, the Skeezyks participated in a "partial hospital program" a few years ago. It was full-time 5 days per week. Most of the day was spent sitting in classes & discussion groups. There was a group therapy session each day. And each of the participants was assigned a counselor with whom we met a few times a week. (Mine was part-time. So I think I saw her less than others saw theirs.) Oh... & then there was a psychiatrist who met with us once a week, as I recall. I don't know as I really learned anything new & different. But it gave me something to do after having just been released from the hospital.
One thing they did that just pissed me off to no end was that they had me complete an MMPI. But then they never reviewed the results with me. They just stuck it in my file (presumably) & that was the end of that. When I complained (which I did) they said... well... sometimes it's of use to the psychiatrist. I'm quite certain my pdoc never saw it... & probably couldn't have cared less... I'm quite sure they did it simply because they knew my health insurer would pay for it...
Anyway, good luck with your program!
