This year I began to watch "Legends of Tomorrow". I love the character Snart on the show and looked the actor up on Facebook. His name is Wentworth Miller. I found that in 2013 he came out as gay. About 2 weeks ago it was all over the news that he "came out" about his depression. His posts on Facebook are truly inspirational. He's a eloquent writer and posts almost daily about how to deal with depression. He talks a lot about self care. I haven't been doing my self care lately and I needed to be reminded. Today's post (April 7) is about silencing the voices in your head that tell you you're not good enough. Or tell you you're ugly or fat or useless or whatever. He talks about how he deals with it. His post helped me a lot and I shared it on Facebook with 2 friends who are depressed. I know this is the bipolar forum but I'm BP2 and have more depression than hypomania. Mr. Miller helps me cope just by reading his posts. I wish there were more people like him on Facebook.
