I don't know much about the current laws concerning the unauthorized, non-consensual distribution of nude photos. Around the office or electronically. Unless accompanied by slander, etc., I don't think, and I'm only guessing, that something such as criminal exploitation would be out of the question. Civil invasion of privacy, I think, might be in the cards. Theft, depending on how the photos were obtained, etc. I'm assuming that state laws vary and I don't know of any fed codes that would come into play. If there's a lawyer here, I would just be interested to know of and laws.
As you observe and as the OP wrote, they don't really care about the distribution of the photos. I think that a very healthy attitude. I've left electronic trails, including nude photos, all over what became the Internet. I'm more embarrassed by available published text that can be found than any photos.
That's why I feel as if I need to ask about two things; the warning to "be careful" and why you think that "something like this could be unsafe." You seem to have bypassed the most probable and predictable end result and jumped to the warning that a Ted Bundy office boy might be in the wings.
Most probable end result? People will see photos of the OP naked. Since that's already occurred, the worst conceivable/predictable end result is that the photos would be posted to some website on the Internet. More people, possibly, might see photos of the OP naked. Unless the OP is a Kardashian or has some kind of astonishing physical attribute I doubt that any photo would go viral.
So I'll ask: your exhortation to "be careful" implies that danger is lurking and that the OP needs to take some action or, at least, be wary of... what? Being kidnapped and sold as a sex slave? I can guarantee that I've no innocence remaining when thinking of the evil that people may do. I don't see, either, how "something like this (100 workers seeing naked photos of a fellow employee) could be unsafe." Unsafe because...? Statistically 10 out of 100 office employees are potential rapists who target those whose naked photo they've used?
I don't buy into jumping into non-specific scare mode without visiting the most probable consequences first. Since those consequences have passed without incident, what do you see to fear?

Words don't need to be used. Unauthorized distribution of someone naked can be a criminal act. I live in massachusetts.
Why not be careful? It was unauthorized to begin with. And yes, there's creeps in this world. Why not suggest caution?
PS...because I took an internet safety course through the DA's office is how I know.
