I'm a bit the same in terms of trying to manage things without meds. Exercise, music, a chat with an understanding friend are all things that can work for me. But sometimes we all need a little extra help, even if it's a short term course just to help get us through a period of time. I think it would be worth speaking to your doctor, discuss the options. It might be you could be monitored for a period of time before you make any decisions as to the best way forward.
