Hello. Do you know if the VA is or is not aware that your friend has Aspergers? If you can visit him or send cards or keep any connection open I would work with that. ITs very hard re the psychiatric drug issue. Drugs are routinely ordered for too many things ( my opinion). On the other hand the VA hospital does an patients advocate. Check if you connect with that office/person and if you know the aptiens hx well write what you can down with regard to how he normally functions and what helps and what doesnt.
