Don't be understanding, don't be forgiving of guys who let you down.
Definitely don't be understanding and forgiving of guys that that you haven't even met or you don't know very well.
Never apologize or blame yourself if guys are don't call, don't text, don't show up, are unreliable.
If guys don't get back to you, if guys don't meet when they say they would, if guys won't commit and follow through but instead keep you waiting, if you are wondering what happened to them, if you are wondering if/when they will contact you again: To h*** with them!
Move on. They are not relationship material for whatever reason and waiting around for them is just going to hurt you and waste your time.
You deserve better.
