I think, in terms of using it as a nutritional aid or supplement for overall health has some promise to it. Fish oil, Flaxseed oil, Krill oil, etc are rich in omega 3 fatty acids which may help improve dopamine and serotonin levels. These neurotransmitters are usually low during depressive episodes which is responsible for the low mood. As far as manic episodes goes, it won't even come close to being effective. The dosage I'm not sure about. I used Soleil Krill products before and if I remember correctly, its two capsules at a time, twice a day. In my opinion, I don't think using these supplements solely will dramatically affect a Bipolar diagnosis for the better. I think more can and needs to be done. So if the aim is overall general health, then I'd give these supplements a thumbs up, but as a treatment possibility specifically, definitely not.
