My T allows email anytime, office phone-cell phone call anytime.

The only time I texted her was when I was heading out the door with a medical emergency and she hadnt picked up her cell phone.

We agreed she will respond to email if/when she has time. She is generous with her responses. She prefers me to phone her cell -which she picks up immediately herself. But I email her more than phone her.
