but to make it clearer (back to the actual original thread), say if you ran a forum for a football team you liked, and then people came on the site constantly saying they were a rubbish team, or saying that they knew nothing about football, that's a form of trolling

trolling is not the same as spamming

spamming is when someone comes on a site to advertise stuff (holiday homes, 3 memberships to online cacinos,) anything that's just not appropriate.
