I haven't had any luck in totally disabling it. I'm only just getting started on trying to deal with these issues. It often helps to distract myself, so I watch lots of movies and funny tv shows (avoid things of a serious or graphic nature!) and also audibly telling myself "it's not real, it's just the anxiety, it's not real". Focussing on repeating this to myself can put a chip in the horrible scenes in my head and help me to focus on another thing.

Hello. I am fine watching violent things. It's just I get a random thought pop into my mind and it takes over. I can't control it. It just happens. I don't like it. I try to make myself stop thinking of it, but it is really hard. I am going to try this to help reduce anxiety. I got a picture of someone I really care for and us being really happy together and every time I look at it, I feel happy inside, so I am hoping that it will help get rid of violent thoughts and replace them with happy ones.
