I don't see why you can't ask if the pastor can change the event so she can go. Do you have her number, you could always text her, send letters, email like it my not be face to face but I don't see why all contact has to seize with her. In all that I wish you luck and maybe when you have more money someday you could meet her at her religious ministry school and just hang. Good luck
