Well I'm 39 so I've pretty much gotten used to it. I've learned to laugh it off so usually I make a joke about it like "wellllll that thought train derailed, I'll get back with you in a day or so when it's back on the tracks."
The hardest part was accepting it's part of me, it's going to happen but it doesn't make me less intelligent or anything of the sort. It's just me and I'm ok with me.
Be gentle with yourself. Yes it's frustrating but the only thing you can really change is how you react to it. Maybe if they find you are ADD and medicate appropriately it will get better too.
