i wanted to add my thoughts on coming off quetiapine. I had been on quetiapine for 5 years and was taking only 12.5 mg per night for sleeping issues. I had to have an op on my feet and i think it had a really bad reaction with Tramadol. (Not absolutely sure on this, but my Doctor put Q up to 300 mg to get my through a patch of not sleeping) felt very angry and slightly high after this. So stopped taking it altogether and just tried to get my sleep back without it. It did take about 4 weeks but post op a lot of people have trouble sleeping. So just letting people know that is what i did. I didn't have any major affects from stopping and after about a month was back sleeping normally and it seems like my mood has also improved. I don't feel slightly depressed as i was before. Now I will try to go off mitazapene as well. Will do this very slowly. I have posted this as a lot of people have said that going off quetiapine is difficult. So wanted to say that i feel a lot better and it didn't take that long. I would only suggest this under your doctors supervision, because I was taking this because of a tragedy in my life, and probably not so much a mental health issue. Best wishes to everyone out there from New Zealand.
