Whose name(s) is on the lease? If it is just yours, I would figure out how to pay and would start charging my boyfriend interest or make him pay ahead of time, etc. If it is just your boyfriend's, I would answer the door and tell the landlord you're ill and in bed and bf's at work, give him his number, etc. and that you'd appreciate it if landlord quit bothering YOU! If it is both of you, I'd still make a "new" rule that your boyfriend had to, from now on, pay his half of the rent before anything else/with his "first" paycheck of the month, make him "borrow" from some other of his sources/paycheck(s)/"friends" instead of jeopardizing you.
