I've always had a problem with "normal". Just because 95% of people do X doesn't mean it's "normal" for me. Maybe you just have an odd circadian rhythm and that's why you feel shaky when you try to awaken earlier.

If you don't work set hours why not listen to your body? It should naturally tell you what it wants. Like for me I have a weird rhythm. I am happiest with no schedule where I can nap 3-7 hours then be up 2-8 then nap again. My GERD, depression, anxiety everything lessens about 90% when I can get on my natural schedule but alas I work set hours
